Grief & Loss
Grief is a Journey
Grief is a natural response to loss and is a process that happens over time. Losing a loved one and navigating grief is a deeply unique and individual experience. There is no correct way to grieve and grief has no time line. Life has its inevitable moments of joy and sorrow, yet when faced with the loss of someone close to us, whether expected or unexpected, grief can sometimes become too much to manage alone.

Grief is influenced by a variety of factors and can leave us feeling ill-equipped at times to cope with the overwhelming flood of emotions that arise such as sadness, loneliness, guilt, regret, anger, anxiety, helplessness and powerlessness. Grief can also lead to lethargy, isolation, worry, crying and a change in sleeping patterns and weight. When you are having more bad days than good days, and your grief feels too much to face alone, it can be helpful to reach out for support and talk about it. Even though it may be uncomfortable and difficult at times, exploring your loss with a compassionate and caring listener can lead to a deeper understanding of yourself, your needs and your inner strengths.

The song has ended, but the melody lingers on.
