Hello, I'm Siobhan
I’m Siobhan Marko (Shivawn), a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist in Toronto’s Bloor West Village–High Park neighbourhood. I’ve supported adults and adolescents for over 20 years, with a focus on anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. My approach is thoughtful, practical, and collaborative, drawing from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), EmotionFocused Therapy, AEDP, SolutionFocused Therapy, and mindfulness. I offer inperson and virtual therapy with evening and weekend availability. A brief phone consultation is an easy way to see whether working together feels right.

PROVIDING CARE & SUPPORT
As a registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, my passion lies in offering a welcoming and confidential space for you to explore and understand yourself more fully and develop practical strategies and tools that improve mood, boost confidence and help you take steady steps towards your goals. My approach is rooted in unconditional empathy, curiosity, continuous personal growth, and a love of learning.
MY PRACTICE AT A GLANCE
My practice is located in the west end of Toronto, offering both in-person and online sessions, with evening and weekend appointments available. I work with adults and adolescents who want to better understand and navigate anxiety, depression, anger, procrastination, relationship challenges, stress and many of life's difficult transitions.
What matters most is creating a welcoming, comfortable space where we can have open relaxed conversations that lead to personal insight, clarity and meaningful change. I'm committed to helping you explore the patterns behind how you think, feel and respond to the situations that are causing you difficulty. Together, we'll focus on what's most important to you and work collaboratively to find practical solutions.
EDUCATION
On the academic side of things, I have a Master of Social Work Degree from York University, a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Carleton University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Carleton University. Additionally, I've trained in various therapeutic modalities and subject matter over the years including Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Therapy (AEDP), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, rumination, depression, OCD, panic attacks and ADHD (for adults and youth), Mindfulness-based CBT, Grief and Loss, Self-Criticism, Shame, Anger, Addictions Counselling, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Interpersonal Training, as well as Attachment and Trauma informed modalities. If you’re ready to take the next step in your self-care journey, I welcome the opportunity to connect and learn more about you.
